Likewise 2.0 was a self-initiated project intended to serve as an experimental photoshop piece. The goal was to make as diverse a picture as possible using minimal resources/images. Five stock images and four textures were used in tandem to create this image.

Displayed here is a promotional poster for the information graphics piece entitled Ballparks. The idea was to show what the essential baseball diamond would look like by overlapping the stroked vectors of every ballpark configuration used by major league baseball between 1887 and 2010.

The images shown here are of a series of portraits illustrated solely with the use of typography. Each typeface throughout the series was deliberately chosen to best aid in telling each subject's story.

The slides immediately below are of the packaging and CD artwork for Copper Vein Records' fourth compilation album entitled Copper Vein Records No. 4. The wallpaper aesthetic was chosen as a nostalgic reference to the 1800s wallpaper design boom. The targeted area of release has a rich cultural history dating back to the mining days of the 1800s and this was our way of paying homage to that fact.

A logo for the Honolulu bar/restaurant named Bambu Martini Bar. The color palette was inspired by the Ndbele tribes of Africa and chosen to hint at the atmosphere of the establishment. This piece was illustrated at InfoGrafik, Inc. and received an Award of Merit at the 2009 Pele awards in the Logo Design category.

Note: The shots of the menu are to show how the logo is being utilized. The implementation into the menus and the menu design are not my design... so the use of Papyrus was completely out of my control. My apologies to those of you with a weak stomach!

A series of self-promotional bottle openers. The concept is that if someone is using a bottle opener, they are more likely to be in a relaxed mood than at other times and thus more likely to acknowledge the design presented to them.

The design was produced with the aid of an Epilogue Legend 36EXT laser engraver.

This series of images is a tongue-in-cheek project with a serious message. The bears are meant to be representative of the innocence of children. The decrepit condition they are existing in serves as the vehicle for a message about the conditions that some poverty-stricken children are currently living in in the world today.

The images were created using a combination of Photoshop CS4 and Photomatix Pro.

The Queen has finally snagged her king while the remaining pieces are witness to the end of life as their King knows it.

Checkmate! was my first foray into the realm of 3-D modeling. This piece was created using a combination of Cinema 4-D and Photoshop.

"Hangin' With Superpatch" is a photographic series with a focus on the couch as a key interaction point for a household of college students. Each person or set of people interact around the couch differently. More images will be posted soon. This project opened allowed me to experiment with studio lighting.

Problem: Convey the meaning/feeling of a randomly chosen word in a motion graphics piece with a runtime of twenty seconds or less.

Solution: What you see here.

When I first started using Adobe Illustrator I thought it would be a worthwhile project to learn the program while putting my traditional illustration skills to the test. This piece was created during the summer of 2007 while I was still working a menial job and had plenty of time to learn the nuances of the bezier curve. Needless to say, I have never had to second guess where to plot my pen tool points since the completion of this project.

Before you is a tribute to the gimmicky idols of my childhood... brother!

The project displayed here is of my business card. A mini-card format was chosen to play off of the "bird on a wire" nature of the illustration on the rear of the card. The owl draws the curiosity of the "blackbirds" with his unorthodox geometric forms.
